Dr. Bhargav Thakkar is a healthcare executive and a Physician leader with over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, revenue cycle management, clinical support services and enterprise operations across the US healthcare market. He currently serves as Executive Vice President at HealthAxis and HGM Limited, where he leads the healthcare vertical, focusing on empowering providers, payers & patients through intelligent, scalable solutions.
A graduate of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Dr. Thakkar began his career as a General Practitioner before transitioning into US healthcare operations — bringing a rare, practitioner-first perspective to every business challenge he takes on. His 16-year tenure at IKS Health, where he rose to VP of Clinical Design & Development and VP of Operations, remains the cornerstone of his career: building clinical business verticals from scratch. This included directing near real-time utilization management for emergency room admissions, pioneering a virtual scribing solution, conducting deep clinical reviews for risk adjustment and medical necessity, and leading complex long-term care transitions at scale. He has since held executive roles at Exela Technologies and HGM Limited before joining HealthAxis in 2026.
Dr. Thakkar brings an integrated lens — equal parts clinician, operator, and strategist — to the intersection of healthcare innovation and operational excellence.
